I'm going to bring mine to Phoenix, at least. And I imagine Jolyne will as well. They already told me to keep an eye out for anything weird. Specifically "white objects in odd places, papers with strange writing, and villains saying things outside of the normal villain fare."
Kind of thing this counts as papers with strange writing, personally.
I'm pretty used to villains telling me how many ways I should die and being mad I'm not dead, so. I guess that's close enough.

I asked Goldie about what happened to those other four heroes they made the memorial for, and they said it was some strange guy in all white who killed all of 'em all at once.
Not like there aren't plenty of white things out there, but. Still kinda wonder if that's connected somehow. Especially since it sounds like what happened to them had some similarities to what happened to Mika and Rocket — the way they just disappeared completely after they died.
Yeah, Temenos mentioned that Snake described the guy as someone in all white with a top hat and a cane. But this is the first I'm hearing of all of the completely disappearing. The bodies weren't recovered?
Nope. I was asking how the guy killed 'em, what the wounds looked like — and they said that all four disappeared immediately before they could even reach 'em.
We saw something like that happen to Mika at the end of her execution... and they said Rocket's body disappeared like that too once it was taken away after the trial.
The only beings that really disappear that quickly once they've died are monsters. [ well. there are others, but he's proving a point. ] If all of theirs disappeared immediately, and so did Mika's, what was controlling Rocket's to stay long enough for us to actually look? What was the difference?
I dunno, but there's already been plenty of weird manipulation. Locking us all in, makin' all but two of us fall asleep, somehow hiding the damage from whoever woke up in a crime scene until they came back to officially investigate it...
I've got no idea how they're doin' it, but I don't think it's a stretch to assume they can time things how they want. And they probably wanted his body to stick around specifically so we could examine it during that joke of a trial.
I guess I can't be that surprised considering they also took our powers and everything, too. One of the things Tama and I were talking about was maybe trying to figure out what caused the phone network to go down last Thursday. It might give us an idea of where to look for other information on what happened a month ago.
I had my doubts at first, but I feel like Goldie's pretty trustworthy. Seems sincere about wanting to help us, at least. Don't think it'd hurt at least summarizing what these things said, so I'm down to do that if we want.
Last week, before the jailbreak, I talked to Mouse - I figured they at least obviously cared about Mika.

I asked if they thought there was really any chance they were going to manage to negotiate for Mika's safety. After all, if there was a way of getting her out that way, I didn't want us to ruin that chance by acting hastily. Mouse was pretty straightforward that the chances felt like basically zero. I appreciated that honesty, so I wouldn't be against sharing what we know in turn.

I also think Amethyst Snake is a potential ally. They're involved in some sort of detective work, where they're from. At the least, they told me they unofficially approved of our actions, but I think they've made a strategic calculation that they need to keep working with the city for now. I think we can trust them to be discreet, and maybe return the favor with any information they learn.
I don't know about Nico's team - [ glancing his way ] - but we found our note and some other junk in the getaway car. We weren't given it. So I don't know if this is something that they revised to what we know, or if this is the current thing.
It wouldn't hurt to at least keep it in mind, proceed with caution.

I'll take mine to Ox and see what they say. So far, I trust them, but it'd at least let me get a gauge of their reaction and maybe how genuine it is...
It's easy to think we can trust them right now because we don't have any other option. [ he says this as someone who trusts phoenix, but knows others won't trust as easily. ] Something like this might give us an idea of how serious they think the situation is though, you're right. Let us know what Ox says.
