It felt like the entire thing was engineered to take someone out no matter what. It's too convenient that we showed up right when the city was in strife, and now they want to blame us for the first, um. Major crime that happens.
Even if they were right... even if Mika did kill Rocket... execution is way too much for manslaughter.
The way Goat was talking, someone not the mayor made the call about that execution, but they didn't know who it was. We're definitely being pulled along for one reason or another. [ and he kind of obviously hates it, going by the way his face darkens ] And with the rules now... They're expecting it again.
I don't know how this city is run, but given it has a city hall and a police force [ even if they apparently don't do much because we have to do it for them ], it'd make sense if it was the higher executives. Government... officials.

Why would any of us willingly do that after what we all saw? Who's going to be stupid enough to try it knowing you'd be up against thirty other people and if you don't get away with it, you die?!
Don't get me wrong. I've played along so far because of what they said in the first place, for the sake of my brother and my crew. [ "the rest of the world" ehhhnnn ] But I'm not going to be a puppet on a string and kill on command just based off a vague threat, either. They'd need a little more proof than that.
Maybe they will try to threaten us directly now, but it seems risky to pull off when if whoever gets caught is going to be executed. They've got no reason to keep quiet on the threat then, do they? They said only the number one team is going to have their world saved.
No clue. I wouldn't have thought Mouse would be so high up either, considering... [ um... yeah... murderhands... ] Tasks and heroic acts, maybe, but I dunno how they count the latter.
