when she notices ace, though, she hops down from the top of it to chase after him.]

[ she doesn't have to chase far because ace was just going to get food himself! he has one task. it's eating. he's putting the change in the machine and making a bit of a face at her question though ]

Like we didn't learn much at all. [ also i said he's getting food but mod questions says there's beer in the machine so he's getting that. and then he gets a second one and hands it to her because he is a bad influence ] If they're telling the whole truth, anyway.

Yeah. My crew and his. Nothing I wouldn't do for them. [ there's something wry there before he shrugs ] I don't care about the world, and the world's never really wanted me in it either. But I can't let anything happen to Luffy. So that's a bit of a bind for me.

[she makes SUCH a face at him, but - he's been cool so far so he gets a pass on teasing. she just sticks her tongue out at him, which really doesn't help the kid accusations.

she kind of stutters at that last bit, and then, maybe without really meaning to:] I can make sure your team wins.

Hey, don't say things like that so easily before you know what we've even got to do. [ he doesn't sound chiding or anything, just. saying ] Luffy, my crew... They're my responsibility. You don't need to drag yourself into it.

[she goes ??? at this but - she immediately takes the beer and scoots a few feet back and yeets it at him at top speed without any hesitation whatsoever. fire!!!]

[ he turns into fire!!! the beer passes through him with no damage! well, to him. the beer is definitely singed, but it was brief. ]

Ta-da. [ sighs ] This is all I can do here, for some reason. I tried shooting fire a few times and nothing's happened.
