The newspaper mentioned what Hanako did at the party - probably had to, since that was on television. But no mention of the jail break and bombs going off around the city?
They want people to think some of us are villains, acting secretly. They don't want people to find out we're organizing and have our own agenda, because it undermines the idea that there's control over the situation. People would start to worry this competition will put them in danger, not just the heroes, and they wouldn't be so happy about it anymore.
