[ Ace is getting a beer at the vending machines, because mods said there were some. Robin is now assigned being around the vending machines. He kind of shrugs at her when he sees her ]

That wasn't as informative as I'd hoped it'd be.

[Robin picks a drink called tropical punch as she looks over at him.]

I was hoping for more information, but I know that it's rare for people to let go of a lot of information in the beginning so soon. I did learn a little bit of the city, though I think it's just general information.

Well... That goat guy did say we'd be able to meet the mayor, so maybe we'll get more information on all of this then. [ sips his drink ] You worried about what they said about worlds?

[ ace asks still having no idea robin is from his, ]

I hope we can I still have a lot of questions. [Robin opened her can and took a sip.] I didn't ask them about our worlds, but what did they say?

That the whole hero competition is to help make sure our worlds stop being in danger? Winner gets to save their universe. Or something. Not sure how it works.

Oh yes I did hear about that. It makes me wonder how are they going to track who did what and what danger is our world in? I know my crew can handle it, but now I have more questions. I suppose that's why they didn't reveal too much. Still, it makes me wish we had some more time with them.

Oh, you've got a crew too? No one else I've met here has one.

I do. They're called the Strawhats and before I woke up here I was on the Sunny sailing to the next island. What's your crew called?

[ hm let him just take a big ol' sip of his drink right before robin says the name of her crew

SPITS IT OUT ALL OVER HIMSELF AND THE VENDING MACHINE, CHOKING ]

The--you're-- Wait, wait--Strawhats? Like Strawhat Luffy?

[Robin walked over to check on him when she nodded.] Yes, that's my captain. I know that we're pretty famous among the sea knowing Luffy.

[ waves her off he's FINE ] Well, yeah, sure, he's made a name for himself, but-- [ wheeze laughs ] Luffy's my little brother, you know! What're the chances of that?

[hananobooks]

[Robin's eyes widened as she almost dropped the can in her hand.] You're Ace! Luffy has told us so much about you! [She laughed.] What are the odds? It's nice to meet you!

He did? [ he looks a little surprised because Luffy is incredibly forgetful but also oh belated mini-bow ]

Portgas D. Ace, nice to meet you! Geez sorry, I should've done that a while back. I haven't met any of his crew since Alabasta!

week 0, saturday post trial

How do you feel about a break out?

[ he truly just stops robin wherever she's walking to ask this sorry ]

[She's been with his brother for awhile now she's used to being stopped the same way. She'll hum and look over at him.]

...There would be a lot of factors to consider before you tried.

I've considered enough of them already. The leaders aren't going to get anywhere talking about this, and I'm not willing to let Mika be executed for an accident.

[ but, also, beyond his reflexive Angy; ]

You don't have to come with. Or do anything. I'm just warning you.

[Robin still felt awful about how everything turned out that she really couldn't find fault in his plan. Well, she could if she tried, but she saw that same determined look in Luffy. She knew it was going to happen.]

Alright just...just be careful. I'm sure you know that I just wanted to tell you.

I know.

[ he seems to hesitate for a second, looking away and then back ]

There's something different I wanted to talk to you about. Or I guess--I've made the request to the rest of your crew when I met them. I don't think you need me to ask, but... When you get back, look after Luffy for me.

[Robin gripped the bottle in her hand as she nodded.]

I will.

... I knew you'd say that.

[ but he still seems relieved when he grins ]

[Robin smiled back. She'd do anything for Luffy he did save her and even declared war on the World Government she owed him her new life. Getting a chance to meet Ace felt like such a treat.]

This place is terrible, but I'm glad I got to meet you.

[ might feel a little random but. he's doing emotions tonight ]

week 1, friday

[ robin gets special strawhat privilege of the fact that ace sort of freezes up from where he's angrily walking off to go do something (what, he isn't even sure) when he spots her. he's got a singed newspaper in hand so it's clear he's gotten the news and he is so thrilled about it. ]

... Robin. [ there's a bit of a bite to his tone, but it's clearly not directed at her ]

[Robin looked down at the singed paper in his hand and the look in his eyes.

It looked like the news got around fast.]

Ace... [She understands, though she does wonder if Ace is gonna make another visit to jail.]

[selfimmolation]

[ he is probably not visiting jail today! today is the important part.

he grimaces a little. he doesn't want to discuss things with anyone, because he doesn't want to be snarling at people. it's easy with his crew, and it's easy with luffy, because they've seen him be the messed up angry thing he is plenty, but it feels like giving away something when he doesn't even have a proper target to be mad at. just nebulous murderer(s) hanging out somewhere. ]

... They shouldn't have died. [ it's all he can think to say, because that's the easy truth. ]

Week 4, Monday Memshare!

[Robin was on the bench outside the konbini trying to eat a sandwich when a comic bubble appeared above her head.

It started to show a memory of Robin in seastone handcuffs. Seastone canceled her devil fruit powers and made her feel weak, but she had accepted her fate. However, in front of her was the people she was trying to protect. She couldn't believe it there was the Strawhats standing on the other side of the gap in Enies Lobby. Her relief quickly turned into dread. Despite her best efforts she still managed to drag the best people she's ever met into her mess. She fought every urge to ask them to take her back instead she shook her head.

"Why are you here? Go away! Don't you know what will happen if you continue to associate with me?"

Luffy frowned as he crossed his arms over his chest. "You're part of my crew! I'm not leaving, until you tell me yourself that you don't want to be here with us!"

Robin's eyes widened as she tried to process what was going on in front of her. Luffy came back for her? He traveled all the way here just to talk to her? Despite her best effort she started to hope. Maybe this time...this time she found a crew that actually wanted her. Her hope was dashed again when Spandam started to tell them about her reputation. How she's evil, her name as devil child, and the fact that she would be the cause of the end of the world. Robin waited for the Strawhats answer when Luffy told Sogeking to shoot the flag.

Did she hear that correctly? Robin couldn't stop her gasp when she saw the World Government's flag on fire. She trembled as she turned back to Luffy.

"I don't care about any of that! Robin! If you don't want to be with us then tell us, but I know that's not what you want. Tell me! What do you want!? ROBIN!!!"

Robin trembled harder as tears rolled down her cheeks. She could finally hope to be with people who wanted her around. Since she was eight she only wanted someone to love her, to accept her, and she finally found it. Robin couldn't help it anymore she dropped all her walls as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"I WANT TO LIVE! TAKE ME WITH YOU! HELP ME PLEASE LUFFY!"

Robin continued to eat her sandwich as she quickly wiped a tear off her cheek.]

[ sunny you are SO powerful for writing this down. i'm making everyone read the manga.

It's hard to stop himself from looking when he passes by Robin's comic bubble, and it's impossible when he sees Luffy. He stays, wide-eyed (singular eye) until the end. ... It's fondness, in his face and in the grin he gives Robin at the end, because of course his brother would declare war on the world for a crew member. That's the most Luffy thing he's ever heard.

But his gut twists a little, because there's something horribly familiar, about both the scenario (seastone chains, the government, Luffy willing to fight the world) and about Robin's words and life itself. He tries not to think about it. ]

... He's always so reckless. [ he says it like he'd never want anything else for Luffy ] You can't have been expecting him to do all that, huh?

[I had to write it down! haha yes more people to read the manga.

Robin gave a fond smile as she shook her head.]

I would have never imagined that he would follow me, but declaring war on the World Government over me? It made realize that I met someone much different than anyone I ever met. Experienced pirates are afraid of them, but not Luffy. He's one of the people in the world that I would do anything for.

He doesn't have enough common sense to be afraid of that.

[ it's teasing, like either of them are afraid to go against the government themselves, but he also looks totally pleased that robin would say this about luffy.

though speaking of luffy declaring crazy things to the world against the government for someone he cares about. they do have that in common, going by the comic panels that pop up in front of ace. he looks shocked when they appear ]

week 7, tuesday

[ he is at the beach shocking NO ONE, but he perks up a bit when he spots robin. there's a lot of lingering embarrassment in this week of emotionsharing because sometimes you have very dramatic speeches and drown and then, uh, come back to life as a penguin, and it's terrible and you wanted to be cool in front of your brother's crewmate at all times, but otherwise there's just fondness. ]

Hey, Robin. [ he says casually like he didn't DIE a SECOND TIME ]

Re: week 7, tuesday

[Robin nearly does a second take when she sees Ace coming towards her at the beach. She smiles as she closes her book and sits up to greet him. It's nice to see him again after everything that happened.]

Hello, Ace. It's good to see you again.
