I was made second division commander pretty quick, so I had to know stuff. [ both with the fruit and with the crew he means. the swimmies question he actually nods ] Yeah. I had to fish out Luffy from water all the time, for one thing. Plus we'd hunt for alligator meat in the river on the mountains. I was a really good swimmer.
[ he doesn't sound like he misses it? maybe if he had a shittier fruit but. genuinely he thinks fire was worth it. ]
